Educational Partnership for Social, Emotional & Academics (EPSEA)

The Educational Partnership for Social, Emotional & Academics, or EPSEA, is an ESC program funded by Franklin County Children Services (FCCS). The program aims to boost the educational achievement of students in foster care utilizing social and emotional learning competencies.

Serving nearly 500 Franklin County students in elementary through high school, the program has ten educational liaisons meeting with students individually to develop goals for improving attendance, academic performance and personal development. To encourage student achievement, EPSEA provides incentives and rewards and utilizes a wide variety of supports to help students reach their goals.

The EPSEA liaisons work closely with caregivers, FCCS service teams and school and agency staff to identify and address issues affecting student performance.

All services are provided at no charge.
